Webinar on "Funding and Financing: Solutions for Water-Related Challenges" at EU Green Week

EU Green Week Event

The NATALIE project, in collaboration with other EU initiatives such as Soteria Climate, REGILIENCE, CLIMATEFIT, and Pathways2Resilience, hosted a webinar entitled "Funding and Financing: Solutions for Water-Related Challenges." as part of the EU Green Week.

This webinar was part of the Financing Climate Action Thematic Working Group under the Mission Implementation Platform for Adaptation to Climate Change (MIP4Adapt)

Insights from NATALIE partner: the Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB) Foundation

The Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB) Foundation, Swiss partner of NATALIE, presented its work on the Nature for Catchments Launchramp. This methodology will be applied in four different regions—Greece, Spain, Iceland, and France—to test the feasibility of their nature-based solutions interventions.

The discussion underlined the critical importance of funding and financing in addressing the adaptation finance challenge. It highlighted the need to scale up climate-resilient investments to effectively address water-related issues.

The webinar provided a platform for participants to learn from the experiences of other regions and share the challenges they face in identifying and implementing bankable water-related projects.
