The 8th IWA Young Water Professionals BeNeLux Conference, held from 8th to 10th July 2024 in Antwerp, stands at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing current change processes in the water sector. As part of the International Water Association (IWA) activities for Young Water Professionals (YWP), this conference aims to empower the next generation of water leaders and showcase the groundbreaking work they are currently undertaking.
One of the highlights was a poster presentation by Marylidia Villagrán Marroquín from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). She presented the NATALIE Project, detailing the modeling process and preliminary scenario results, which pinpointed optimal locations for implementing Aquifer Storage Transfer and Recovery (ASTR) in Belgium.
