November 27 was the start of the 14th edition of the International Fair Canagua y Energía at Infecar, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which opened its doors with an increase in exhibitor participation, with 89 entities in the exhibition area included one of Canaragua presenting the project NATALIE. This biennial event aims to position the Canary archipelago as a reference in clean energies at an international level.
On Wednesday, the new edition was inaugurated by the president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales; the councilor for Environment, Climate, Energy and Knowledge of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Raúl García; the councilor for Primary Sector, Miguel Hidalgo; the president of the Organizing Committee of Canagua and Energy, Baltasar Peñate, and the general director of Infecar, Natalia Santana. The programming continued until Friday, November 29, with a complete technical program that allowed visitors to explore the innovations of the water and energy sector.
Regarding the Water sector, there were four roundtable discussions in which issues such as the digitization of the water cycle, water as an energy resource, the costs and prices of this resource in the Canary Islands, and solutions to address the challenges of drought were thoroughly analyzed.
Thanks to NATALIE's stand, visitors, politicians, and industry professionals had the opportunity to better understand what nature-based solutions mean and what role they play in adapting to climate change. The fair gave us the opportunity to present the project to various stakeholders and highlight the objectives it pursues.
The fair reaffirmed the Canary Archipelago's commitment to a sustainable future. This edition marks a turning point towards a more diversified, green, and resilient economy, positioning the Canary Islands as an international benchmark in clean energy, energy sustainability, and water management.
